ULTIMATE SAFARI EXPERIENCE
Kruger Park
One of the most famous and largest nature reserves in the world is the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The Kruger Park offers an unique opportunity to see the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) close-up in their own environment. The Kruger Park covers 1.948.528 acres and is half the size of the Netherlands. See the map of the Kruger Park.
Rent a car and go on a Self Drive Safari through the park. 4 wheel drive isn’t even necessary, any normal sized car will do. The gravel and asphalt roads of the Kruger Park guarantee a smooth drive.
It’s only a beautiful 40 minute drive from the villas of Homes of Africa to the Kruger Park.

Self-drive Kruger safari
It’s great fun to go on a Self Drive Safari in the Kruger Park. Not knowing what’s on the other side of the bush contributes to the excitement of the quest to find wild animals in the Kruger Park. Self Drive safaris in the Kruger Park are not dangerous, if you take note of the rules. Stepping out of your car is strictly forbidden in the Park, with the exception of certain fenced off areas (Restcamps), which are designated for rest stops and contain restaurants and sanitary facilities.
You can rest assured that you’ll encounter wild animals on a Self Drive safari. Around 90.000 impalas & 12.000 elephants call the Kruger National Park their home. In the various Restcamps you can find daily updates on where wild animals have been spotted. Careful searching, a lot of patience and a bit of luck might even result in spotting one or more of the Big five! Read more about some interesting facts of the Kruger Park.
