Plenty of activities to do and personal support

Elephants during a safari in South Africa. All Homes of Africa holiday homes are situated at Zandspruit Estate. Zandspruit Estate is a “Dutch” estate at 2 minutes from the little town of Hoedspruit and in the vicinity of the Kruger Park and Blyde River Canyon. The Estate has its own gate and is surrounded by fencing ensuring all the safari animals won’t escape. The touristic village of Hoedspruit is 3 minutes away by car from the Zandspruit Estate gate. Hoedspruit has all the facilities to ensure a pleasant and comfortable winter stayover. There are 2 large supermarkets, several great little restaurants, lovely souvenir shops, etc.

You can follow several walking tracks inside the estate, as well as several viewpoints, for spotting giraffes, wildebeests and several species of birds. There are many opportunities to take a guided safari nearby (game drives, walking safaris). The world-famous Kruger Park itself is only 40 minutes away. At the Kruger Park you can do an independent Safari Drive and spot the big 5. During your stay our host will be available to answer all questions you might have, and she can book several activities for you as well.

The South African nature is magnificent beyond taking safaris. There’s the Blyde River Canyon and the panorama route, a mere 40-minute drive from the villas. A must visit to enjoy the panoramic views.
